What Could Go Wrong - With a Non-Professional Rebuild?

We recently rebuilt a Saginaw gearbox that had been “professionally” rebuilt by someone else. After that rebuild, the truck turned-by-itself as soon as the engine was started. This is a rare condition for these gearboxes. The truck was not usable AND the rebuilder wouldn’t provide a refund.

When the customer called us, we were apprehensive, but said we’d take a look at it. When we disassembled it, we found multiple issues, some of which required replacing hard parts to resolve (not part of a normal rebuild.) The photos below show some of what we found.
