PLEASE DO NOT SHIP WITH UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE!! I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PACKAGE NOT DELIVERED BY USPS.

Turnaround time is 2 - 3 weeks right now

How To notify us that you're sending something in

Click the ONLINE FORM below to complete and submit information about your rebuild. After packaging, ensure your name and return address are on the outside. We’ll match up the information submitted to the package and email you the next business day, after completing check in. Or, you can print the Paper Form below and include it with your package.

Packaging Tips

Ship gearboxes and pumps separately

Unless exceptionally packed, pump reservoirs and pulleys will be damaged by the gearbox in a poorly packaged box containing both

International Shipping

We are expert power steering rebuilders, but not export documentation. If you want us to ship internationally, you’ll have to help provide forms, tariff codes, etc.

Poor Packaging can result in shipping damage

Draining oil (Leaking oil in shipment can result in delays or returns to you)

  1. Power Gearboxes: With gearbox on a bench, install old hoses finger tight (if you have them.) Allow other hose ends to drain in bucket. Remove the fluid by turning the small input shaft from lock to lock with a vice grip, multiple times till the majority is removed (you’ll never get it all)

  2. Pumps: Remove the cap, tip upside down (if reservoir is included) and allow reservoir to drain for awhile. Tip upright and shake and drain upside down again.

  3. You can help prevent leakage from fittings with foam ear plugs.

Box-in-a-Box Packaging is recommended

  1. Everything in a package should be tight. If you shake the box and hear rattling, its loose and can work a hole in the box or incur other damage

  2. Some examples of good packages below. MORE PHOTOS here.

Shows a box wrapped up and taped securely being placed into another box lined with packing paper.

Box in a Box

Here a customer bagged the inner box, which kept the sharp edges of the component from cutting the plastic bag. Notice the oil soaking the inner box.

Ship in cardboard

UPS adds an extra charge if the outer covering is plastic, wood, etc. So, cover your container in cardboard, if you’re not already using a cardboard box

Residential versus Commercial Address

Costs for delivery to residential addresses are almost $5 higher than shipping to commercial addresses (a business name to a residential address - doesn’t save money.) So if its convenient, have it shipped back to your place of work or another business you’re associated with

Save Shipping Money

Excess Insurance

Even if you pay for $500 worth of insurance with UPS, you’ll have to prove it was worth that much if you file a claim. They pay out based on the items value - so don’t buy excess insurance

Retail Carrier Cost Comparison

This comparison was done on the listed carriers websites, in July 2020 for a 32Lb, 15x15x15 cardboard box, no extra insurance, ground transportation. It is for comparison purposes only. Postal Service delivery times are inconsistent. Often attempting to deliver after we are closed for the day.

A table showing shipping prices from UPS, Fedex, and US Postal Service. From Stauton, VA 24401: $45.03 from UPS, $42.77 from Fedex, and $52.35 from US Postal Service. "From Modesto, CA 95612, $68.81 from UPS, $63.46 from Fedex, and $74.95 from US Pos

We recommend UPS or Fedex Ground

  • Your component is checked-in, usually the business day after it arrives

  • A work order is emailed to you describing the work to be performed and costs

  • If there are questions, we’ll get them resolved up front

  • Turn around time depends on the volume of work at the time

  • When the rebuild is complete, an invoice is emailed and you can pay it online with a credit card
