Detailing - Extreme vs Standard Detailing
EXTREME DETAILING:
GEARBOX EXTREME DETAILING:
Prior to assembly, housing is taken to bare metal and primed and painted in automotive cast paint (Difficult to remove coatings - i.e. powder coatings or undercoating cost extra for removal prior to paint)
External aluminum and steel components glass bead blasted and clear coated
Date coded changed if requested (Saginaw 800
Cover bolts cleaned to reveal original black oxide coating
Yellow sticker applied to GM 1968 to 1972 vehicle’s gearboxes (replicating factory condition for those years)
PUMP EXTREME DETAILING:
Reservoir Dents removed where possible (no guarantees on dent removal)
All components taken to bare metal prior to prime and paint
Plastic cap reconditioning consists of cleaning and painting black if necessary to cover minor markings or discoloration
NOT ALL PUMPS QUALIFY FOR EXTREME DETAILING, Only those in decent condition prior to rebuild. We do not fill external corrosion pitting
STANDARD DETAILING:
Gearbox and Pump STANDARD DETAILING:
Loose paint and dirt removed prior to paint. Pumps painted in a black automotive paint. Gearboxes black or gray, unless you specify which.
